MULTAN: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI)
chairman Imran Khan Thursday accused the government of
blackmailing the Supreme Court on memo-gate scandal.
PTI chairman said this while talking to media
men at the residence of Makhdoom Murid Hussain Qureshi, bother
of Makhdoom Shah Mehmood Qureshi on the occasion of his joining
PTI.
Imran said the rulers also staged a drama
when the Supreme Court took the NRO issue.
Responding to a question Imran Khan said PTI
would field its candidates in every constituency as soon as the
schedule of the election was announced.
To another question he said a leader brings
about change and people dont bring change. Leader has an
ideology. People should be rest assured we will bring change,
he asserted.
Replying to a question Imran said government
had destroyed farming community. Farmers were backbone of the
country but they were in distress, he added.
The rulers had hatched conspiracy against
themselves due to their massive corruption and incompetence. Had
the rulers delivered on their pledges there would have been no
conspiracy, he underlined. Had a genuine opposition been in the
country the corrupt rulers would have quit the corridors of
power far earlier, he remarked.
PML-N was chanting slogans "Go Zardari Go but
it was not quitting assemblies," PTI chief maintained.
To another question he said "we should come
out of war on terror rather than suspending the NATO supply.
This was US war and due to this war devastation had been caused
in Pakistan," he added. We will have to come out of this war
then the situation will be improved.
Responding to a question he said " I ask
President and Prime Minister what they have done and what change
they have brought during the last four years".
He ruled out possibility of holding of fair
and transparent elections under Asif Ali Zardari. Rigging had
taken place in all the elections which had been held so far
under Zardari , Imran underlined. Lahore High Court had given
verdict in this respect, he pointed out.
Investigations should be made on the basis of
medical condition of Asif Ali Zardari to see if his health
condition allowed him to continue as president of the country,
he said. Those who wanted to bring revolution did not want to
become care taker prime minister, he added.
Makhdoom Shah Mehmood Qureshi said change had
come adding if Prime Minister Gilani given up using state
machinery and official vehicles he would come to know what was
politics.
