Long Live CJ and Attorneys of
Pakistan

We want to show solidarity with the
Chief Justice of Pakistan Iftikhar Muhammad Chaudhry and the
attorneys of Pakistan who are trying to steer lawless Pakistan
towards a law-abiding country.
Particularly, at the juncture when Pakistan
is fighting the battle of its survival against multi faceted
fascist forces in the shape of Taliban or so called
intellectuals or politicians who want to maintain the status quo
in Pakistan in which dictatorship can continue breathing until
it gets a chance to come back.
Chief Justice of Pakistan Iftikhar Muhammad
Chaudhry and leaders of lawyers' movement are beacons of light
for Pakistanis.
It is true the people of Pakistan are living
through the toughest economic times. It is also true they never
faced such scarcity and price hike of day-to-day commodities of
daily use in the history of Pakistan. However, they also know
all their problems stem from a subservient justice system, which
authenticates every illegal act of corrupt ruling elite. In
order to change this system they are firmly standing behind the
Chief Justice and the leaders of lawyers' movement for
restoration of dysfunctional justice.
People of Pakistan exactly know who is
playing what role in desisting the efforts of restoration of
dysfunctional judges. They know how PPP, led by Mr. Zardari,
has delayed the restoration of judiciary. They also know how
hypocritically and cowardly PML (Q) leadership acted in the
presence of general Musharraf and how deceptively now it is
talking about restoration of judges after his ouster from
office. People of Pakistan also noticed the fork tongued
statements of Altaf Hussain of MQM who opposed the restoration
of judges by polluting this issue by confusing present PCO
judges with previous PCO but present activist judges.
With this scenario in mind, we want to assure
Chief Justice Iftikhar Muhammad Chaudhry and the leaders of the
lawyers' movement that their way is the only way to make
Pakistan a real, equitable and functional state where
constitution, rule of law and democracy will always have upper
hand and all other forces will be subject to and subservient to
them.
We know no matter how much effort all these
licit and illicit enemies and opponents of restoration of
judiciary try to halt the restoration process of deposed judges
the judges will be restored.
Therefore, the only sensible thing to do is
to continue the movement of restoration of judiciary to the
position of November 2, 2007 and afterwards the movement to
reform Pakistan through judicial activism.
Long live CJ
and lawyers of Pakistan.
